The accretion onto protostars is one of the most fundamental but less explored physical properties in high-mass star formation. Spectra of MIRI/JWST allow us to study potential accretion tracers at lower mid-infrared extinction like the Humphrey’s alpha line for the first time. We analyze such accretion tracers on a sample of high-mass protostars at different evolutionary stages, and estimate accretion rates for those where the Humphrey’s alpha line is detected. Additionally, outflows can be related to accretion processes, hence we probe the mass loss rates of those sources exhibiting outflow emission using molecular Hydrogen [H2 ] and Iron [FeII] lines.
